Dr. David Young was born and raised in Waukesha, WI, where he attended Carroll University where he lettered in football and track. There he was involved in several service groups as well as helping in the athletic training room. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Fitness Management.
Soon after graduation, he moved to Denver, Colorado where he spent several years doing physical therapy at St. Anthony’s Hospital. Dr. Young had great experiences working in outpatient rehab but also was privileged to have extensive experience working in-patient orthopedics, neurology, wound care, and general medical floors.
It was during his years in physical therapy when Dr Young developed his personal motto, “exhaust conservative efforts” as his approach to health care. His exposure while working in traditional healthcare sparked his desire to study alternative medicine and wellness as the primary approach to healthcare.
Dr. Young then graduated in 2005 with a doctorate from Logan University. During his time there, he attended a variety of seminars on topics including: pediatrics, nutrition, acupuncture, spinal manipulation, and soft tissue techniques. Additionally, he completed 200 hours of post-graduate education in chiropractic craniosacral technique. For most of his career, Dr Young has been working in a nutrition-based practice in Canton, OH.
Dr. Young lives in Columbus and cherishes his time with his daughter, and together they love creating healthy food in their kitchen, live music, and outdoor activities including bike riding, tennis, snowboarding, and yoga.
